1. Who we are
Only Veg (“we”, “us”) provides a web app at veg.mydoller.com that helps users review food label text. Contact details are published on that site.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, password hash (we do not store plain passwords), verification and reset tokens, account timestamps.
- Usage data: daily scan counts per account, total registered users, total scans.
- Security data: captcha challenges/answers in session, basic server logs (IP, time, request path) if enabled by hosting.
- Device processing: label photos are processed in your browser for text reading when possible. We do not require you to upload photos to our server for classification in the standard flow.
3. Why we process data
- to create and secure accounts;
- to verify email and reset passwords;
- to enforce the free daily scan limit;
- to show public usage statistics;
- to prevent spam and abuse (captcha);
- to operate, protect, and improve the Service.
4. Legal bases
Where required by law, we rely on contract performance (providing the account/service you request), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, aggregated stats), and consent where you tick acceptance at registration.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your email. We may share data with hosting/email infrastructure providers strictly to run the Service, or when required by law. Captcha is generated on our server (math challenge) in the standard setup.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists and as needed for security and legal obligations. You may request account deletion by contacting us through veg.mydoller.com.
7. Security
We use hashed passwords, session cookies, and HTTPS when configured on hosting. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
8. International users
Your data may be processed on servers in the country where our hosting provider operates. By using Only Veg you understand that transfer.
9. Children
Only Veg is not directed at children under the digital consent age in your country. Do not register if you are under that age.
10. Your choices
You may access or update account email by contacting us, reset your password via the app, and stop using the Service. Mandatory retention may apply for security logs.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy where allowed by law.
